i smell onion, garlic, oregano & basil cookin in a big pot. it smells unbelievable. and i want my entire house to smell like that when i have company over. so i think anytime i'm expecting someone , i will just throw all that into a pot & simmer it. instant warmth & coziness with in my house . this is what my house will look like, but a lot better. because all of my ideas and things will be put into it :

i really want to travel a little bit. to some neat countries and find some incredible home furnishings and have them shipped back. just imagine how wonderful a thrift store would be in another country. all those antiques from a whole other place and time. something so new and interesting to our eyes. i am just aching to go out into the world with a suitcase and travel around to find peace for my soul and feed my mind with culture. i do of course want to travel with someone. i couldn't do it on my own. (so i hope he comes with me.)

i want to gain knowledge about herbs. i want to learn about miraculous healing methods to add to my growing journal of healing. i want to help others. i want to see things that touch the deepest parts of your mind, soul & heart. i want to be moved -

told you we went kayaking

and it was FANTASTIC. it was so great. i loved it. first kayak of the summer. i cant wait to go kayaking up at Silver Lake. its going to be pure amazing bliss. i wish so badly that my mitch could come up with us. he'd love the peace and tranquility Silver Lake has & possesses. its one of the best places on earth.
I live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I grew up in the Sierra Nevada mountains. with Tahoe as my backyard. the Sierra Nevada forest as my playground. the American River as my spa. Sly Park & Lake Tahoe as my swimming pools. The California sun as my therapist. The Pacific Ocean as my endless possibility. I love California and i will miss it dearly. But I soon hope to be writing things like this about my new home ... Utah.

the trunk of my car contains: - camping chair - blanket - pullover - cloth backpack - random pillow - straw beach hat - towel all will stay in there for the duration of the summer. but now i need my sleeping bag

why is it that people with small minds have such big mouths?

its been such a lovely couple of days. warm enough to wear shorts and a tanktop & sandals... my most favorite attire. (after bathing suits or clad) i love to feel as much air and warmth on as much of my skin as possible. thats why im a summer girl. a beach bum... a river rat... whatever you can come up with. the sun recharges my spirits and lifts my soul. i cant wait until it really starts to heat up around here...
i head to utah in exactly ONE week. holy yes !! i am so excited. i hope i'm ready and i dont forget anything. i hate forgetting stuff.
i could really go for a tube top or a strapless dress right about now.

i think i might switch back to using shampoo & conditioner... because my hair seems to be having a hard time. its so thin and long that it just gets tangled SO easy. i sort of look like a bum ... haha. maybe i'll do every other day or something.

weekend results : too many mosquito bites to count, 1 hidden dread i just discovered, sore feet & back, sun warmed skin & a smile on my face. life is Great.

went to the river on Friday... it was so nice. hot sun on my skin. cold river in my hair.

hangin with friends , laughin at funny stuff. finding lizards. searching for that one spot thats perfect to sit by the river. adventures....... summer is so close.

i cant wait for it be here. it means summer love. forever love is what i'm hoping for tho. but it also means warm skin. good times with good friends. long days and nights. smoothies &milkshakes and popsicles .
good beats and grooves to move to . i just cant wait.
it means vacations & get aways. i cant wait for my get away in June..... mmmmmmmmmm.

last night i stopped by Jackies 80's party.... saw some good fun people. wish i could have stayed the whole time but i was damn tired from working all day and my feet were killin me. i got some funny pictures there anyways tho. super classy ...... red plastic cups with red champagne in them. we made a toast to "being classy". i was dancing the whole time to mJ & pat benatar etc. it was good. i had a scrunchie in my hair. it'll be interesting to see these pictures. oh lordy.


today im going to a car show on main street with Audra & Vanessa. i wanted to go to the river again but i probably wont because today is my sisters 17th birthday ---- weird!!! she's 17?? when the heck did this happen. shes the coolest sister ever, no one else has a cooler sister than i do. hands down no battle. you may think you have a cool sister... but thats just because you havent met mine.
she's a lot like me , but looks completely different than me. shes pretty hilarious too.

my favorite time to drive is early early morning.
there are two beautiful instances i can recall exactly :

driving home from west shore lake tahoe from Martins cabin. driving on that windy road along side the lake before the sun was up over the east mountains listening to Mirah (you think its like this, but its really like this) "suck on my sweet tooth till i'm sore." it was freezing outside. but so clear. my subaru was hugging the road. i was still in my sweatpants . Martin had let me sleep in the master bed room by myself because i drove up for just one night. it was such a nice thing of him to do. I was secretly racing the sun home. i made it home just as the sun was hitting my driveway. i felt fresh that day. up at martins cabin over looking the lake:

my second time was driving home from my one day trip to Yosemite. i drove down to visit Lindsey and we stayed in one of her cabins. we had a fun time that day. swimming in icey water, skipping rocks, driving to see Half Dome, taking really cool photos that night. she came in to sleep in my room because she swore she heard a mouse in her bedroom. it was funny and i miss her. i woke up much much before the sun was awake. as i was heading out of the National park lines the sun was just touching the tops of the trees. i looked back and saw the beauty and the crisp fresh start of a day in that amazing place. long hot drive it was the whole way home. summer time mornings are still hot. i forget that. outside the cabin having fun with light tricks & exposure.

i love driving. i've driven my car so much. it has over 200,000 miles on it now. i've driven all over the place. and i'm still planning on going so much further. Northern lights... portland... seattle would be neat too .

i really want some salmon this week. and some sticky rice with seaweed flakes on it.
and some chinese food. the least i can do for the lunar new year right? its the year of the tiger ... sam is a tiger. he said its the coolest animal on the chart. whatever, he clearly didn't see the DRAGON. which is what i am. the dragon is the coolest one on there. how silly to think otherwise.

$600 winner

i won $600 dollars yesterday at jackson casino. it was my first time going to a casino , my grandma took me gave me $50 and i ended up winning $600. sometimes i get a streak of luck.. who knew.

sam cracked his head open on the sidewalk last night. i'm trying to convince my self its some sort of collective karma. maybe it was just a sign. maybe just a dumb accident. or all of the above.

i am wearing a pair of jeans for the first time in a long while. it feels weird. i miss seeing my legs exposed. shorts and sandals are my style. i like the cold sometimes, but i'm more of a warm weather type of girl.
