i have something to say

i think old kid tv shows are better than new ones.
new kid tv shows are ridiculous. they are too technical & in depth with things that kids don't even know about or care about. there are too many unnecessary things that don't even grab their attention. for example

i'm sitting here watching scooby-doo with payton. first i put on a new one that was made this year (2010). it was RETARDED. she didn't even care to watch it. because it was just like. what? daphne was upset because fred didn't notice her and all this relationship crap. kids don't care. I wasn't even interested in watching it. i can't even tell you what else was going on because thats how much i didn't even pay attention.
so then i put on a scooby-doo from 1969 ... so perfect. its to the point, no retarded crap between the characters like relationships or whatever. just good old fashioned mystery & spooky scenes. shaggy & scooby eating un-realistic food quantities .. its wonderful. there is even fake laughter from an audience in the background when any of the characters say a one-liner! so good!
she is watching it and into it. why can't these people just re-run the old shoes? its not like these kids have seen it before.. hello... plus kids LOVE repetition. they enjoy seeing a show they've seen before. so why do we keep making new ones when the old ones can never be topped?

drives me nuts.

day dream ...

i want a stone path leading up to my front door. with glitter, sea shells & special rocks scattered around. i want old rusty objects placed in my garden for the plants to grow up & around them. i want wind chimes made of wood hanging from low branches. i want a bird bath. i want stumps for benches. i want my front door to be painted red. i want bird feeders hanging above the railings outside of a big window so we can watch the birds together & try to name them.
i want a big cozy couch with colorful pillows & blankets along the back. i want curtains that i created hanging in our big clear windows. i want pictures of our family in various types of frames all over the wall of our stair case. i want objects that represent us placed on small shelves amongst the pictures of our family, so that it tells a story. i want a room filled with book shelves for all our books to live. all mixed together on different shelves, with no order to them - but we'll know exactly where each book lives.

i want ivy growing up the sides of the house. & a big sunflower garden, right next to the pumpkins & vegetables. i want an herb garden outside the kitchen door. so we can pick what we need for the dinners we eat at our kitchen table. i want a big window in front of our bed. so when we wake up we can see a new piece of art everyday. i want a toy room. for the kids to imagine their days away. with wonders and surprises everywhere they look. i want an art studio, for us to get creative and have fun trying new things. i want chickens to give us fresh eggs, but far back in the yard so they don't wake us up - but can still keep us company when we let them out to roam. i want a small pond. for the frogs to put on their nightly symphony. i want a lot of trees, but not too much. because one of our favorites things to do is watch the stars put on their show.
a hammock or two. a swinging love seat. a tire swing & a wooden swing. a tree house. a picnic bench to eat outside on when the weather is ideal. a shed full of our tools & our bikes. a river near by for him to go fishing. the ocean not to far away for us to take beach trips. the mountains real close for hikes & camping. a lake for kayaking and floating. a back deck that has the most spectacular view. just might be the most favorite place to be in the whole house.

a big round bath with steps leading up to it, with jets of course. plants on the edges. stained glass window customized. swirly handmade brass decorations hanging from the ceiling with glass bits and marbles & feathers to catch the light and wind to relax the mind and catch the eye. a family room. with cozy chairs & couches & pillows. somewhere we can all relax together. even tho we can relax together in any room in any place. painted walls. earth colors. different in each room. everything is tied together & makes sense. because we made it and built it together. we love it all and its all us. its just enough. not too much, not to little. just right. we easily maintain it. we enjoy it. its all that is love.

airplanes

do you think its a coincidence that today i applied at an airlines
and today
i've been hearing airplanes in the sky every other 10 minutes it seems.

i even saw two big airplane flying really low that flew right past each other.
it was quite bizarre. one was red & white
and the other looked yellow and blue.

its just strange
and i got to thinking
that maybe instead of working for an airline i should just get my pilots license.
or my hot air ballon license. either one is expensive but i think it would be worth it.

maybe i should go on a hang glider ride.
or something like that.
sky diving maybe.
the sky is the limit
so they say

autumn

l'automne est dans l'air.

its true. autumn is in the air. its "brisk" at night (as mitch puts it) & crisp in the mornings. and actually the whole today today is really cool and breezy. its nice. it just feels so fresh. i want to make sour cream apple bars but i'm going to wait for a special sort of occasion to make them instead of just randomly.

i wanted to go on a sweet little romantic hot air balloon ride just me & mitch but its freaking costs an arm & a leg for just one person to ride for an hour... totally sucks. oh well. maybe one day.

whenever fall comes around i like having little fall accents around the house because it makes me feel cozy & reminds me that its time for :

- warm food
- sweaters
- cuddles under blankets
- trips up to the canyons to see the fall colors
- beanies
- boots
- seeing your breath when you walk outside
- the heater & the fireplace
- yummy treats likes apple pie
- puzzles
- socks
- family
- soooup! chilli. minestrone stew.
- snuggles.

all the good stuff.
oh pumpkin carving. duh.
oh i was telling mitch how i'd love to grow pumpkins.. maybe one day.

rules rules rules

found these on a website and found them quite helpful.

A few rules.

1.Never stop thinking. This is important. If someone ever says to you ‘You need to stop thinking so much,’ call them ignorant in your head and keep thinking deeper. It is this mentality that breeds stupidity and sheeple. Your mind is the most important tool you have, if you stop using it, it will atrophy. Question everything.

2. Stare into space blankly and don’t mentally punish yourself for doing it, even if it is for that split second. If you have a problem with staring blankly, think of it as daydreaming.

3. Root Beer sucks after having spicy food.

4. Everything is going to be just fine. If you worry about acne, you’re going to get a fucking pimple.

5. Don’t be afraid to talk about anything. You shouldn’t be afraid of reality.

6. Everyone is a hypocrite.

7. You are all original. Every life experience is case sensitive and unique. Every time you wake up or go to the bathroom or quote someone else, you are becoming more you than anyone has ever been.

8. Do pointless things. Don’t actively restrain or hide yourself from the redundant.

9. Stop rushing. Shut up and embrace the sound of silence.

10. Religion shouldn’t be taught, it should be found. No one should tell you what to believe except you. And while were on the subject…

11. Don’t be restrained by one religion. People change every moment of everyday. Minds grow and evolve. Religion has no law so feel free to mix and match. Make your own.

12. Going to the bathroom is not a right nor a privilege. it’s an act of nature.

13. Talking to yourself is healthy. Is there anyone that you have more in common with?

14. There is no such thing as time. The sun never sets or rises. Days and years don’t exist. There is only your life. Earlier today you were born and death is predicted later in the evening.

15. We will always be in a transitional phase. Look outside and know that everything will be replaced at some point. This existence is temporary.

16. Its not half empty or half full. Its half a glass.

17. Every now and then take something that you see everyday and try to see it in a different light. Renew its existence.

18. Be happy, but don’t force it.

19. You will always succeed in trying.

20. We are all crazy. Every person you read about in the history books had some kind of ‘disorder’, they just knew how to use it.

21. We are all about as similar as we are different.

22. Ideas are just as valuable as people. Why do you think we keep making people?

87. Numbers don’t have to go in order.

24. Words will always be just words. Love is just another four letter word, only the feeling is real.

25. Ask a child for advice. They may not know much, but they know what is important.

26. Prove you’re alive. Do anything from dancing in the supermarket to screaming ‘Fuck’ during a moment of silence. Remind the world you are still here.

27. Don’t take anything, even this, too seriously.
