determined to change.

i might as well do SOMETHING while i do NOTHING.

i really like to sleep.
i am so happy there is more winter on its way. i am not a huge fan of the cold weather, but i want it really bad. i want to utilize my clothes and wear things i don't normally wear. i have so many clothes and constantly keep wearing the same things. it's so weird of me. i'm sure other people do that too. i hope.
i'm getting my gym membership back. i'm excited about it. audra and i are going to go so often. i want to be fit and in better shape. i want to be able to do anything with out worrying if i'm strong enough to actually do it.
i've also been reading more. lots. i'm breezing through books. loving the words that i am processing. i forgot how much i love to read, to apply the words, to turn the rusty wheels in my mind. i think reading again has helped me kinda snap out of my funk. that's what i'd like to attribute it to.

i've also been thinking a lot about the nutcracker prince on vhs. i didn't get to watch it over the christmas season. its such a bizarre movie. i don't have a vhs player anymore tho, so i guess i'll have to keep my eye out for one.

i've been encountering a lot of ghosts lately.
i had one go through my head and get stuck in my ear. it was bouncing around, it felt like a pinball machine with a high score. i've never had that happen before. and i had one loudly whisper my name on monday at 6 am. it sounded like it was right in front of my face, but i opened my eyes and saw nothing there. i'm wondering why i'm having all this poltergeist activity lately. i don't know if poltergeist is the word, its not bothering me at all. it's not getting in my way or scaring me. its just, there. and i wonder why is all.

here is me in some sun:

BOOKS ! book club anyone?

i've got nothing clever to write about just yet . i have so many contents in my room you guys. everyone that comes in that hasn't been in it before instantly starts to look around and poke around and look at everything in detail. i forget how much stuff i have. i'm not gonna lie , i've got a knack for finding amazing things. and for arranging things in a cool manner.

i found a really cook book at the thrift store a while ago. forgot to mention it. i walked into the book section - which i never do because its pretty hard to find a good book in there. but this one was bright red and calling my name. so i walked over picked it up opened it to one page, understood it, purchased it. and this is what it is:

ZOOM by istvan banyi

see why i bought it? pure delight. i love picture books. selective ones. & children's stories. & coffee table books. oh and novels. some of my favorites you ask? i'd love to share:

stamp of fantasy - quite possibly the most random postcards i've ever seen. i hope i can receive some incredibly random postcards from people one day. one of my wishes.
banksy- wall & piece - my friend charlie got this for me for our Christmas book exchange. he totally gets me & knows exactly what i like.
in my mind's eye - by my good friend Jedd Carby (i'm also featured in this book! i didn't even know until after i bought it and read it! go purchase one... so so so talented)
gnomes - my old room mate in Utah and i found this when we went into a shop called Abode together... we both saw it.. we both wanted it.. so we both bought it together. however i was the one who ended up keeping it when we parted ways. i win!
all i need to know i learned from my cat - those who know me... DUH! i love my cat Anouk more than anyone or anything ever to grace the earth.
little people in the city: the street art of Slinkachu - this is the most clever idea. i plan on going to London and locating at least one of these little people. he is genius and i LOVE his book.
how we die - awesomeness. i admit it is something that most people don't like to think about but i LOVE this sort of thing.
the Guernsey literary and the potato peel society - brilliant book. absolutely adored it. in fact i'll need to read it again sometime soon.
water for elephants - didn't think i was going to love it as much as i did. but i do. read it.
OUTLANDER - okay everyone. this is an intense novel, filled to the brim with Scottish history, epic scenes, very romantic on goings and well ... perfect in every way. i'm not usually into romantic novels and all that blabber but oh my god. this book seriously made me believe i was the main character. and sometimes i got mixed up and thought that the main man character was actual my husband. i don't even have a husband. its that serious. read it . i'm on the 2nd book now (dragon fly in amber). don't mind that the first book is 800 pages. it isn't even enough. i wasn't ready for it to end. not joking around here guys.

my gosh. i love literature. but that's enough for tonight. i will give you more good books later. maybe tomorrow i will tell you about my favorite children's books that i will never get rid of.
i need another bookshelf. mine is full up .

okay.. this is my OLD blog : dimensions to the undefinable
i want you to forget about that one.. add THIS ONE that you are reading now to your follow list.. because you want to read all about my super exciting life right? i told you guys i'm tryin to be more interesting on here. i mean i went and adopted a manatee , doesn't that count? what else do you want from me!!! i'm never good enough for you!!

just kidding. but really, go ahead and follow this one so you can know when i've posted something worth your while to read. like how today i washed my car. exciting right? basically thrilling.
i do however have a book list for people who love books and need some new reading material..

1) the glass castle - currently reading, currently LOVING
2) case histories - not for those who don't like sad (but intriguing) things.
3) the guernsey literary and the potato peel society - one of my all time favorites
4) the time travelers wife - you all know about the movie. but read the book first .. i promise its better than the movie although the movie was very good.
5) water for elephants - super good for people who like super good things.

i also recently got these books in the mail -
the stamp of fantasy
colorama
the scourge of the swastika

i'm not a creep about the wwII book, it's just really . alluring to me. not in a creep way like i said.

some new additions

to my room. my room is like a gathering spot for all things colorful and random. my room makes no sense yet it makes all the sense in the world. it is so peaceful and welcoming. it makes visitors drowsy. it also makes people curious, just about everyone glances around and wants to touch it all. i love my "stuff" so here are just a few additions -

#1 - metal rust colored branch hooks. i don't really know what they are for. but i found them at a thrift store and decided to hang my jewelry from them.
#2 mirror frames. i loved these alot. so i framed two photographs sam & i took on a nature hike. he took the photos, but i found the objects to take photos of. they look so pretty
#3 gold frame. and i framed a photograph sam & i took of salt lake city. it looks lovely in the frame.
#4 magazine holder with 2 new books. the magazine holder is from my moms estate she is liquidating. and the 2 books are: women before 10am & men before 10am too. really cool books - a check off my book list.

felt like showing off. i also have been making earrings. i think i might try to sell them. they are feather earrings and some have sharks teeth. check it out: (& all of the feathers i found in the yard, not store bought. same with sharks teeth - found them in florida with my grandma when i was a wee bonnie lass.)
