california

so i touched down in sunny california last saturday . it was about 60 degrees. and it was confusing because.. its january. blue clear skies and rays of sunshine? the family working in the garden? people in shorts? flip flops? t-shirts? where are the boots, jackets and jeans? yeah california is WEIRD!

i just miss mitch & payton. in the spring i want to bring them here. they'd love love love it. its so free and open here . hills and forests. secret areas and good eats. its just nice. i need to discover utah more and uncover the cool parts and the good eats and the free areas. i just get so lost there still... haha .

so ive just been takin it easy while bein here. nothing fancy. just catching up on my sleep, saw a couple good pals. loungin around this house. and snuggling my cat anouk .. who loves me still so much. we love each other. anouk sel dean. shes chasing a ping pong ball right now and i just took a picture of her 'stalking it' .. check it out :

i havent taken any pictures really since ive been here. i took some pictures of the cats. cause im a cat lady. today im hanging out with audra and jackie and we are gonna take pictures then. it'll be fun. i think we are going to coloma to explore.

not gonna lie.. i can't wait to back to utah to my little family and sleep in my own bed and hug my mitch. even tho utah isnt so pretty right now its still gonna be soo good to be back. well. see ya/.

california ho!

so mitch & i left utah around 10am or something . and about 1 hour into our trip his CD player broke. HAHAHA. 10 hour drive with nothing but shitty radio & AM updates on the blizzard & road conditions. basically it showed us that we can entertain ourselves & each other pretty well for 10 hours. plus it took us longer since we had to drive thru TWO blizzards!

i will admit that a couple of times i felt like screaming because mitch took it upon himself to be the vocal entertainment on the drive since the CD player was caput... not saying his singing is bad.. but his choice of songs were just .. oh my god. haha. we played 20 questions. and ate bad food. and hit the back of a car because the road was icey ... best part was the guy didnt care at all and there was zero damage. we win! and we didnt get pulled over at all ! (thanks to my handy dandy radar detector) and we made it thru both blizzards easy peasy.

so much ice was hanging off the car we had to kick off.

and we arrived safely in freezing cold Reno for the night and made ourselves cozy at the Hyatt Place ... easily my favorite hotel i've ever stayed in and i HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. plus it smells so delicious i wish my perfume smelled like the Hyatt . you think i'm kidding but i'm not.

so anyways we will be in california today by 10 or 11 . and then the real fun shall begin. im happy mitch came with me on this trip. and i cant wait to blog about this fun little family adventure when it's all over. but i also cant wait to get back to utah.

i cant believe its supposed to rain until wednesday. what the heck?

luckily LA will be clear and warm ... cant wait for that trip seriously. this week is going to go by so slow i just know it.. painful ! tay & i are gonna laugh so much. we already discussed it.

mitch & i are going to have piña coladas on the beach. wish that was tomorrow... it is so needed. in bathing suits... hahahaha.

i hope i remember to take pictures on my trip tho. i ALWAYS forget. other people take photos but i always forget to use my camera. which is stupid. its a nikon d300s ... how could i forget to use something like that? im ridic.

here is me today. a picture i took for someone.... no make up because it was my day off. . never happening again because i have such pathetic eyelashes. maybe i should paint my wall the way it looks in this picture. it looks dank! ... all green and faded... i wonder why it even looks that way.

here i am back home . its nice. its like i never left which is always so weird. my cat is all over me she missed me so much. i love her..

so it was a fun trip. parts. we went to the mystery spot yesterday. it was very cool - google it then go to santa cruz & go to it. but its so pretty around there. so green. bri's hut is up past it and its so cool. totally round & strange and all solar powered. its an interesting way to live.

san luis was BEAUTIFUL. oh my gosh. it was so green and just amazing. i wish i had a camera that could have taken photographs of it.. but i didn't . looks like i'll just have to go back.. at first i really wasn't that into slo. i mean i thought it was beautiful and thats that but i actually really love it. i like how there is stuff to do but its just chill, its not all crazy & busy. its just a focused town. i was thinking of going to cal poly (if at all possible) to get my bachelors. next year of course. i just got my camera working today which sucks. i wish i could have taken photos along the trip. i hope it works this time. ryan showed me how to do it right. he has an olympus like mine but his has a flash. cool! ryan is my new .. friend. i think we have one photo together or something. thats all. hes really nice. he is an art major, he does AMAZING art. thats enough on him. i wont go further. for now. um what else.. well i guess thats all that matters. the beach was nice today i dropped my phone in the ocean but it works and nothing happened. weird. good luck.

here i am .. in slo. i'm at kevin, adam & wades apartment on kevins mac. i've been taking photos of myself and laughing. jackie & tiffany are downtown. i didn't really feel like walking around in the cold. i'm a bummer, what can i say. oh well. tonight we might go bowling. oh yeah its RAINING here today. sucks. i wish it wasn't. tomorrow night we go back to santa cruz. that'll be nice. but really i can't wait to be home in my own bed with my kitten.. who i miss a lot. cal poly is a really pretty place.. i better go find tiffany and jackie.

carnitas thanksgiving

today we had carnitas for "thanksgiving". we had turkey & all that on wednesday because my brother was leaving on thanksgiving morning. we are all tired and full. all the time. we just eat a ton every day and take naps. thats about it. we went on a walk today up in pollock pines. its been fun, and now tomorrow i'm going to see my friends. i'm excited to see them finally. here are only some of the photos this trip:

so here i am, in california again. its been weird so far... it feels like i never left, except all my stuff is gone. i'm in Huntington Beach right now. me tiffany & jackie are at the house resting before going to taylers birthday party at the Grove @ 6:30. it should be fun. today we woke around 10:30, showered, ate & walked down to mainstreet. then to the beach for the farmers market. i got kenzie 3 rings & i bought myself 2 rings. we are going to lay at the beach all day tomorrow. it'll be so great. & sunday we are going to Venice beach & getting henna with tayler & clay. i'm tired.
